UJ STUDENTS HOLD PROCESSION FOR LATE KUMS

Students of the Faculty of Law, the University of Jos, held a procession in memory of late Shadrach Kums, a three hundred level student of the Faculty, on the the eighteen of October, 2018.

The procession was preceded by a valedictory session which took place in the University Auditorium (UA) at the Bauchi Road Campus, had law and other UniJos students in attendance.

The valedictory session was  led by a Catholic priest and he spoke on the inevitably of death, the bitter results of crisis, the need for peace in the state and the eternal homes of all believers.

Speaking to Ketura Simon, a four hundred level student of Law, she said:” the death of the deceased [Kums Shedrach] is a great loss to the Faculty and to humanity at large. She added that the deceased is a hero who laid down his life for others. “Heroes do not die; they live forever in our hearts” she stated.

Also, speaking with Splendor Simuyan from the department of library and information sciences she said: ” the death of the deceased is painful and his dreams has been cut short”.

The valedictory session was brought to an end by a procession within the university premises.
