On Monday, 4th March 2019, the association of mass communication students (AMCOMS) held its sessional election in the faculty of Arts , University of Jos which began at 10:00 am.
It was a great moment for the students of mass communication as two contestants, Itodo Eneojo Timothy contesting for the post of the AMCOMS president and Francis Idoko for the post of director of socials emerged victorious. The non-victorious contestants were Emmanuel Kwapyil for president and Nenrot Cletus for director of socials.
The winner of the post of AMCOMS President, Itodo Eneojo Timothy, exercised joy over the election results. “I am grateful to God and to all AMCOMsites who voted for me. I wouldn’t have achieved this without you all and am grateful you all believed in me for a great improvement in this new level as the AMCOMS President. I promise to perform my duties as the AMCOMS President and God bless AMCOMSites” he said joyfully.
Also, the winner of the post of director of socials, Francis Idoko, who was also visibly excited over the results as he was announced as the winner of the position said: “ I am very happy today and grateful to God and AMCOMSites who voted for me and who believed I would be of great improvement of this post to a greater height. I believe in this year as the Director of Socials, I will be dedicated and loyal to my duty-post as the Director of Socials. I thank my fellow course-mates who believed and stood by me for this win”.
These were the two posts elected today (AMCOMS President and Director of Socials) as all the other posts contested were unopposed.
