The University of Jos recently witnessed yet another beehive of activities as the management staff led by the vice chancellor, professor Sebastian Maimako, in an official tour to the Jos University Teaching hospital (JUTH) handed over the project site for the medical students hostel at Lamingo to contractors for construction.

Professor Maimako, in his address, welcomed everyone present and said “accommodation is key as it will enable student’s write their examinations with ease” as regards the building of the phase two of the medical student’s hostel.

The highlight of the event was the vice chancellor handing over the Certificate of Award of Contract to the contractors, Dang Global Limited. Responding on behalf of Dang Global Limited, Anzaku Nicholas, assured the vice chancellor that they will deliver their mandate in speed and quality and he also appreciated the University management for finding them worthy of handing the project.

Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Director of JUTH, Professor Edmund Banwat further said, it is a welcome development and hopes the institution will benefit from it.
