A reconstruction rebirth is presently ongoing in the university’s main campus, the Naraguta Campus and the university’s various hostels under the leadership of the university vice chancellor Professor Seddi Sebastian Maimako.
The ongoing reconstruction includes the faculty of management sciences, the faculty of social sciences, the faculty of engineering, the department of theatre and film arts theatre, the installation of solar lights, and the reconstruction of the burned library etc.
According to an interview with patience Ezekiel a 300 level student of the department of accounting, she is happy with the ongoing reconstruction because her faculty is among the projects that are undergoing construction. She adds that her faculty does not have any building to call their own which makes them always stranded by looking for empty lectures halls to commence lectures which makes academic activities difficult for them she applauded the university’s management for what they are doing.
A 200 level student of the department of theatre and film arts, Jecolia Alamba, also pointed out that she was pleased with the ongoing projects especially her department’s new indoor theatre. She also said that the present open air theatre they are using is not convenient to them especially during sunny and rainy seasons she cheered the management for a job well done.
