It is often said that the journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. History confirmed this assertion as the 2014/2015 set of Mass Communication students recently celebrated the completion of their final exams in the University of Jos in grand style.

The students who finished their final exams on the 29th of February took to the play ground to display their joy through dancing,  taking photographs,  signing of autographs on shirts and pouring of water on each other.

Unijos Online spoke with some of the graduating students and gathered that their responses included the experiences of the joy, hopes for the future, disappointments and memorable moments they will miss as they will no longer be in the Institution.

The outgoing president of the Association of Mass Communication Students (AMCOMS), Mr. Jerry Pam said, he has witnessed people writing their last examination since 100 level. He said he usually admire how they dance and shout around and have always imagined how the feeling would be for him as a person who had hoped he will be able to calm down and write well to be like them.

Nanpak Cirfat, also a final year student of Mass Communication Department also said he is “more than just excited, feel graced, blessed and have seen the hands of God upon himself”.

Enoch Tyulen, another final year student of the department also had this to say: “After writing over 60 papers in UniJos and about to pen down the very last one. I fall short of words. But there is much joy in my heart 4 years don waka, to God be the Glory.”
