Association of Mass Communication Students (AMCOMS) University of Jos led by the 2018/2019 EXCO visited the orphanage home in Farin Gada on Saturday 2 November 2019.
While arriving at the orphanage home, the team was welcomed by a staff of the orphanage home, Mrs. Jummai Matthew who applauded the effort of the students for finding it worthy to reach out to the less privileged.
Earlier in her address, Mrs. Jummai said that “Plateau orphanage home welcomes you in the name of Jesus Christ, adding that she has appreciated their effort and show of love to the orphanage home and also prayed that God will continue to bless them for reaching out to the less privilege.”
A high point of the visit featured presentation of items by comrade Timothy Itodo, President of the association. He prayed that God will bless and protect the children. Comrade Timothy said that his administration has vowed to reach out to the less privileged.
Also speaking, comrade Lucky Mapak, former president of the association spoke on the mission of their visit to the orphanage home. “We feel our brothers and sisters need our help and we have come to show our support and love for with the little items. Even though it is not much, but as part of our humanitarian service, we show our sign of love with these little items.” Comrade Dapak then appreciated the visiting team under the leadership of comrade Timothy Itodo for their kind gesture and prayed that God will increase their wisdom and knowledge.
