VC UNIJOS AWARDED GARKUWAN GAMJI

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos Professor Sebastian Seddi Maimako received an award of excellence as the Garkuwan Gamji by the Gamji Memorial Club University of Jos chapter in his office. In his words, the president of the Gamji Memorial Club Haroona Abba said the award was the club’s recognition of the massive infrastructural development in the various parts of the university. In his response, Professor Seddi Maimako appreciated the group and also applauded their effort to showcase the Gamji culture. The Gamji Memorial Club is aimed at immortalizing the name and legacies of the first premier of the northern region Late Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna of Sokoto. The title “Garkuwan Gamji” means “The Shield” of Gamji.
